Request Flag Disposal Service

The United States Flag Code (4 USC Sec 8 Para (k) Amended 7 July 1976) states: "The Flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem of display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning."

It's important to note that one of the reasons so much care is put into disposing of an American flag is not only because it's considered to be the most sacred symbol of the United States of America, but also because section 8j of the United States Flag Code states: "The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing."

Thank you for visiting our site and requesting for the 152nd to come and pickup your tattered flag.  We will arrive in Dress Blues Uniform and receive your flag from you in a respectful and honorable manner.  We will store your flag at our squadron in a safe and secure room and it will be stored in a manner fitting of the United States Flag until we have gathered enough to schedule a ceremonial flag burning.  Once we have set a date for the ceremony, we will contact you via email to inform you of that date so that you can be present, if you so desire.

Although we'll perform our services at no cost we would greatly appreciate any donation amount you would be willing to offer as our squadron relies on donations and fund raising to maintain our squadron and help our cadets attend CAP functions such as encampments and field exercises as well as having the funds to assist local, state and federal government with emergency services which save lives.  Thank you.
